Railing & Shadow

RAILINGS & SHADOWS 2
A Photo Project

As stated on the first page of this project, during the Composition Intensive workshop in October, 2011, taught by Craig Tanner, he told us to prepare a portfolio for a photo project. No more than 12 images and no less than 8. The first page of images shows railings found in the Savannah, GA, Historic District.

After I got home, I decided to continue this project wherever I find railings with their shadows showing. Below is an image that I had made earlier in the year, of a railing in Union Square, New Hope, PA.

The next image is the shadow of a railing that's out at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ.

Back to Union Square again, this image may look a little weird to you. You are right. I flipped this image vertically - upside down - for a "guess what this is" assignment. So just stand on your head - or turn your computer upside down - to see the image as I shot it.

I hope to add more images to this project as I find them.
